There are more than 480,000 yellow school buses across the nation transporting an estimated 26 million students to and from school. This is a huge investment in resources, labor and assets.
NoBusRide.com is an easy-to-use, very affordable website and app that enables parents, school administration and students to let transportation know they don’t need a ride on the bus. It can be accessed via a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer.
*Typical costs will range depending on district size and number of buses. Contact us for pricing.

Typical ways a simple message from a parent, student or administrator can save, resources and time:
– Bus routes tend to go to the farthest students first, and work their way to other stops progressively getting closer to school. That first pickup may be 5 miles, and 10-15 minutes from the yard and the second stop 4 minutes from there. If that first student will not be coming, we’ll wind up going there, wasting fuel and time. If the driver knew ahead of time, he could have adjusted their route to be more efficient.
– For PM routes, buses typically arrive just before the bell rings and must wait 10-15 minutes after the bell to wait for students. If they are waiting that extra time for students who left school early, or were picked up by a parent, or were not coming due to an after school activity, etc. the bus is waiting there for no good reason. The kids who are on the bus can get stressed and antsy, especially when it involves special needs kids.
What we do for you:
– We work hand in hand with you to set up your account properly and direct messages to where they need to go.
– We host all accounts on our secure server
– We monitor all accounts 24/7 to make sure things are running smoothly
– We backup our accounts daily
– Every month we provide a very detailed XL or CVS file of all your accounts activity (more frequently if needed).
What your district can do to facilitate better ridership:
– Have the bus drivers hand out magnetic cards with information to the students and parents
